Richard Alan Crowe, 60, of Hilo died May 27 in Chinle, Arizona. Born in Montreal, he was a professor of astronomy and physics at University of Hawaii at Hilo, astronomer-in residence at ‘Imiloa Astronomy Center of Hawaii, former support scientist at Canada-France-Hawaii Telescope Corp., and member of Hawaii County Band, Kanilehua Chorale and member/past president of Rotary Club of Hilo Hay.
